The SPECTRUM newsletter is published bi-annually. It consists of original and reprinted articles on topics related to minorities in astronomy. It is distributed by postal mail to the AAS members on the CSMA mailing list and also at AAS meetings. Contributions are welcome (see information below).

All AAS members are welcome to join the CSMA postal mailing list. By signing up, you’ll receive the SPECTRUM newsletter by mail, be kept informed of upcoming events and opportunities for involvement, and most importantly, demonstrate that you care about diversity issues in astronomy.

Contributions to SPECTRUM: Contributions to SPECTRUM are welcome! If you see a good article in another publication or you would like to publish an original article, please contact the Editor (Laura Lopez: lopez at astro dot ucsc dot edu). We especially encourage articles on successful outreach programs at your institution, news stories related to minorities in science or academia, or editorial columns. The deadlines for submission are March 1 and October 1 for the June and January issues, respectively.
