Midwest Workshop on Supernovae and Transients

September 26-27, 2019
Organized by Tuguldur Sukhbold

The Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics (CCAPP) at The Ohio State University (OSU) is hosting the workshop in Columbus, Ohio at the Physics Research Building - Room 1080.

This workshop will bring together world-leading experts on observational and theoretical studies of supernovae of all types, and transients in general, including kilonovae, gamma-ray bursts, fast radio bursts and tidal disruption events. The scientific focus will cover all aspects of these phenomena, including the explosion mechanisms, progenitor evolution channels, nucleosynthesis, remnants, radiation over all wavelengths from radio to gamma-rays, and plus neutrinos and gravitational waves.
