Coming 1 April: AAS Job Register 4.0!

On Monday, 1 April, the AAS will debut the completely redesigned and modernized Job Register. Here is what to expect and look forward to in the upgrade.

Job Register is now integrated into our main web property aas.org and thus will improve visibility and traffic to job ads and increase job applicants. Job searching has never been this easy! Full-text search index will yield more relevant results and job seekers can easily find job ads that interest them the most. 

Plus, job recruiters now have more powerful tools:

• Extend Job Ad Posting Time: If you have ever wanted to run your job ad for longer than you originally paid for, you can easily extend the publication time by purchasing additional weeks before the ad expires.
• Multiple Locations, Hybrid, and Remote Work Arrangements: Modern work arrangements do not always adhere to a single, in-person location, and now you can more accurately indicate the work arrangement of the jobs you post.
• Share Checkout Link: When you need a colleague to process payment for a job ad, the new Job Register will enable you to email a checkout link to them to submit payment, without the need for user registration or separate account creation.
• Immediate Posting Upon Approval: In addition to specifying your desired publication date, you can now omit the Publication Start Date in favor of a Publish Immediately Upon Moderator Approval option.
• Collaboration within Your Institution: The information architecture has been expanded to establish Institutions and Organizations as formal entities to which individual job ads will now belong. This allows job posters from the same institution the ability to collaborate on job ads.
